Port Brewing and The Lost Abbey brewery and tasting room is just north of Highway 78 in San Marcos, CA, approximately 30 miles north of downtown San Diego and 30 miles south of Orange and Riverside Counties.

How to get there:
To reach Hwy 78 you can take Interstate 5 from the west — Travel North from San Diego / South from Orange County — or from the east via Interstate 15 — North from San Diego or South from Riverside County — (click here for a map).

Once you’ve reached Hwy 78, here’s how to get to the brewery:

From the West:

  1. Take Hwy. 78 East to Twin Oaks Valley Road.
  2. Exit Twin Oaks Valley Road and turn left.
  3. Turn Right on San Marcos Blvd. (about .25 mi.)
  4. Turn Right on Rancheros Dr. (about 100 yds)
  5. Turn Left of Mata Way (about 1 mi.)
  6. Turn Right into the second driveway.
  7. Port Brewing is on the Left. (Suite 104)
 From the East:

  1. Take Hwy. 78 West to Twin Oaks Valley Road.
  2. Exit Twin Oaks Valley Road and turn right.
  3. Turn Right on San Marcos Blvd. (about .25 mi.)
  4. Turn Right on Rancheros Dr. (about 100 yds)
  6. Turn Left of Mata Way (about 1 mi.)

Please Note: Google Maps instructs you to turn right on Via Prado once you’ve exited Hwy 78. There is no Via Prado. It is now San Marcos Blvd. (All other instructions are correct).

Public transit / walk / bike

We can be reached via public transit using the NCTD’s Sprinter train which connects major commuter trains routes from the south (San Diego) and the north (Orange County & Los Angeles) to locations in inland North San Diego county.

How to get here using the train (Walk or bring your bike!):

From the north
(Orange County / Lost Angeles) 

  1. Take the Metrolink or Amtrak train to Oceanside Station

  2. From Oceanside Station, take the Sprinter east to San Marcos Civic Center

From the south
